PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silane crosslinked polyolefin molded product which is free from failure of external appearance caused by the adhesion of low molecular weight substances to dies or the like or no lowering in the electrical properties caused by the adhesion of low molecular weight substances to the molded product. SOLUTION: In the electric wire and cable having a silane crosslinked polyethylene insulator 2 which is formed on a conductor 1 by allowing water to act on a polyethylene graft copolymerized with a silane compound to effect intermolecular crosslinking, the insulator 2 is constituted by extrusion with the use of a composition obtained by mixing 0.005-5 pts.wt. fatty acid ester and fatty acid calcium salt into 100 pts.wt. polyethylene.
