A method and apparatus for obtaining relevant measurement data for analysis of radio network (10) performance. Measurement data (M1-M4) from different network entities (E1-E4) is collected and saved regularly (100). As each saved batch of data is shorter than the total time, temporal accuracy is improved as the time window for when an event could have occurred is shortened. Data processing starts by finding (102) all entities (E2-E4) (usually cells (C1-C4) that potentially interface with the entity (E1) being analysed. The entities (E1-E4) are then classified (104) according to link usage. The measurement data (M1-M4) is filtered (106) to obtain only those records that correspond to a certain network (10)traffic scenario.
