Glasses, spectacles, goggles or similar eyewear intended to alleviate symptoms associated with Parkinson's disease. The eyewear includes lenses which reduce the amount of light reaching the wearer's eye. In a preferred embodiment rows of Porro prisms which reflect light are attached to or integral with the lens, with gaps between the rows allowing transmission of light. The lenses may include coloured or tinted filters which comprise rows of opaque dots or squares, or parallel opaque lines which block light. The filters may comprise removable film. The eyewear may include means such as flexible side coverings for blocking peripheral light.
