PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt pump in which an inter-screw gap between two feed screws can be easily and arbitrarily adjusted.SOLUTION: The melt pump comprises: a compressor 406 having two feed screws 408, 408'; a transmission 405 by means of which the feed screws 408, 408' are synchronously drivable; and a drive 404, where the transmission 405 is disposed between the drive 404 and the compressor 406. Each of the feed screws 408, 408' has its own follower shaft 416, 416'. A coupling 414, 414' comprises: a driven ring gear 418, 418' provided on the follower shaft 416, 416'; a drive ring gear 419, 419' provided on the feed screw 408, 408'; and a clutch sleeve 421, 421' for gripping the driven ring gear 418, 418' and the drive ring gear 419, 419', where the drive ring gear 419, 419' and the driven ring gear 418, 418' have a different number of teeth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
