PURPOSE: To obtain an optical device where a reflecting equipment for emitting pre scribed quantity of light from a light source is provided and a light emitting percent is changed on the surface of the reflecting equipment to provide a prescribed output intensity distribution. CONSTITUTION: The optical device is provided with a housing 12 for stipulating optical space having a light window 14 which enables light irradiation to be executed from optical space, the light source 20 in optical space and the reflecting equipment 16 for orientating light after passing through the light window from optical space. The reflecting equipment 16 is provided with a main part of a transparent object, the main part is provided with a smooth surface having a reflecting layer being adjacent to the main part and a constitution surface 18, the constitution surface 18 is provided with plural triangle prisms formed on it and the respective prisms having transmissive surfaces and reflection surfaces are selected so as to permit light from the light source to be incident on the main part after passing one of the transmissive surfaces and so as to permit the first angle of the respective smooth surfaces of the transmissive surfaces as against the respective prisms and the second angle of the respective smooth surfaces of the reflection surfaces with vertical surfaces to provide the prescribed light intensity distribution in the light window 14. |
