<p>This invention provides methods and systems for rapidly, accurately and efficiently depositing liquid droplets (130) onto a planar uper surface (117) of sample plate (115) held in sample plate holder (110) which is supported on, or incorporated into, a motion table (105) included in an LC MALDI sample distribution system (100) for MALDI-mass spectrometry sample preparation. System (100) also includes a holding mechanism (118) for holding at least one capillary (125) which terminates at a capillary tip (127) on which droplet (130) is formed. A power supply (135) forms an electric field between sample plate surface (117) and droplet (130) which acts to pull the droplet (130) onto the sample plate (115).</p> |
