PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability and to reduce the cost of a washing machine having a control device for controlling a series of motion of the washing machine by making an operation display part of the minimum necessary size for the operation and setting the front face of a panel part with control buttons low. SOLUTION: An upper frame 3 with a clothes opening 4 at the center is mounted on a body 2 storing a washing tub 1, and the control device 17 and a supply water valve 6 are disposed on the upper frame 3. The upper frame 3 is structured to be covered with a front panel member 15 and a rear panel member 16. The control device 17 consists of the operation display part 17a disposed inside on the front part covered with the front panel member 15 and a power supply part 17b disposed inside on the rear part covered with the rear panel member 16.
