PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of adjusting work for an imaging mechanism that is covered by a cover member. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus is equipped with the imaging mechanism for adjusting the focal length of a lens to make external light incident on an imaging photoelectric conversion element, wherein the cover member attached to a supporting member that supports the imaging mechanism while covering the imaging mechanism is constituted of a cover main body and a lens cover. The cover main body includes an opening part to accept the adjusting work for the imaging mechanism, the lens cover is freely displaced between a closing position for closing the opening part and an opening position for opening the opening part. Consequently, the adjusting work for the imaging mechanism is performed through the opening part by locating the lens cover at the opening position without detaching the cover member from the supporting member.
