<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate positional shift in the sub-scanning direction of each dot being formed by a plurality of dot forming elements. <P>SOLUTION: The carriage 1 of the printer comprises first adjusting parts 83, 86, 87 to secure a print head onto the carriage at different positions in a direction intersecting the main scanning direction, and second adjusting parts 82, 84, 85 to secure the print head onto the carriage at different rotation angles about an axis extending in the direction intersecting a plane defined by a part of the recording medium facing the print head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
