A luminescent ceramic used for a high-power light source, and a light-emitting device. The luminescent ceramic comprises a YAG substrate (210) and luminescent centres uniformly dispersed within the YAG substrate (210), the luminescent centres being YAG phosphor powder particles (220) having a grain size of 10-20μm. The YAG phosphor powder particles (220) having the grain size of 10-20μm are uniformly dispersed within the YAG substrate (210) of the luminescent ceramic, and no impurity phase is present in the luminescent ceramic. The YAG phosphor powder particles (220) having the large grain size act as the luminescent centres, of which there are many. The YAG phosphor powder particles (220) having the large grain size are plump, have a robust appearance, and improve the light emission efficiency of the luminescent ceramic, enabling the luminescent ceramic to satisfy usage requirements of a high-power light source having a high blue light power density. The luminescent ceramic is provided with a staggered configuration of the large-grain YAG phosphor powder particles (220) and the small-grain YAG substrate (210), and the grain boundaries are pure, enabling the light emission of the luminescent ceramic to be more uniform. |
