PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both mechanical reliability and electric reliability of equipment, utilizing a piezoelectric body, a vibrator and a vibration wave motor, for use under worse conditions and in severer environment than at present.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 1 and a flexible printed board FPC are bonded, and a terminal part N of a coverlay 2c has a first contour part and a second contour part crossing a wiring layer 2b. The first contour part is in contact with an electrode F1 among electrodes F and the second contour part is in contact with other electrodes among the electrodes F, a length L1 from an outline M of the piezoelectric element 1 crossing the flexible printed board FPC being shorter than a length L2 from the outline M to the second contour part.
