<p>PURPOSE:To provide a new image-recording agent composed of polymer gel microspheres causing volume change by the application of thermal energy or electrical energy, a liquid medium and a colorant, and resistant to the variation of the image-forming capability with the lapse of time because the flow property of the agent varies by the application of the thermal energy, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective recording agent is composed of (A) polymer gel microspheres varying the volume by the application of thermal energy and/or electrical energy, (B) a liquid medium for dispersing the component A and (C) a colorant, and has a flow property varying by the application of the thermal energy and/or the electrical energy. The component A is e.g. a polymer gel varying its volume by the change of the concentration of proton or other ions, such as a heatresponsive gel obtained by cross-linking an N-substituted acrylamide derivative such as N-ethylacrylamide or a copolymer of vinyl alcohol and acrylic acid.</p> |
