PURPOSE:To provide a pitch calculating device capable of instructing a pitch for running in a target time to a runner running a course having an optional distance in the target time. CONSTITUTION:This pitch calculating device is provided with an oscillating circuit 1 for measuring time, a frequency dividing circuit 2, an amplifying circuit 6 and a speaker 7 for reporting the pitch sound, and a CPU 3 for arithmetic processing. Times when a runner runs the same distance twice at two different pitches according to the pitch sound can be measured. The CPU 3 calculates the relational expression between the pitch and time from two different pitches and times. The time required for the runner to run a distance to be run in a target time is measured, then the CPU 3 calculates the pitch for running the distance in the target time. The speaker 7 announces the pitch sound based on the calculated pitch. |
