摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying apparatus in which the quantity of magnetic particles in magnetic particles carrier is stabilized, unevenness in wear of a surface of a body to be electrified is reduced and which therefore can be stably operated over a long period of time for an image forming apparatus with a plurality of magnetic brush electrifying means which are electrifying means to more uniformly electrify the body to be electrified and share the magnetic particles. SOLUTION: A restricting member 38 is provided for restricting the quantity of the magnetic particles 35 which are transported to the facing part of a first electrifying sleeve 32 and a second electrifying sleeve 31, thereby preventing the magnetic particles 35 from slipping between the facing part between the first and the second electrifying sleeves. Thus, an increase in the coated quantity of the electrifying magnetic particles on the second electrifying sleeve and a deterioration in uniformity can be prevented, and consequently a deterioration in the amount of wear and unevenness in wear on a photoreceptor drum surface layer can be prevented and the electrifying apparatus operating stably over a long period of time can be realized.
