X-RAY DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS FOR MAMMOGRAPHY, AND ITS PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus for mammography capable of obtaining an automatic exposure control mechanism concerning a digital apparatus using a plane detector. SOLUTION: An image for automatic exposure control is acquired by pre-photographing with a small amount of X-ray beam before photographing and a plurality of mammary gland areas are set based on the values of the respective pixels in the image. A current time product is determined so as to allow the plurality of set mammary gland areas to have a fixed concentration on the X-ray image. The number and size of the mammary gland areas to be set are controlled by changing the number and size of the mammary gland areas to be used for area setting in response to the size of a subject.
