The sliding component for a window or door locking mechanism, where its opening angle is set by a handle in at least two positions, is of a plastics material and is longer than its width. It can be shifted with a sliding movement into a transfer position between sliding and braking, and has at least one braked position. The slide has a plug section (40), and two longitudinal notches, with a gap between them, taken up by a web section extending axially by a multiple of its width. The plug section rides in a guide rail (15) between a rod section (11a,11b,11ab) and the two edge flanges of the rail. One end is coupled to a link (70) and the other end is at a gap from the axis of the door panel or window pane at the door/window frame. |
