<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave absorbing material and a radio wave absorber capable of preventing wave absorbing characteristics from being substantially deteriorated in a frequency range below an X band while satisfactorily keeping wave absorbing characteristics in the frequency range of the X band or higher. <P>SOLUTION: This radio wave absorber has a radio wave absorbing layer comprising a radio wave absorbing material obtained by mixing a proper amount of powder of W-type hexagonal ferrite expressed by the composition formula Co<SB>x</SB>Zn<SB>2-x</SB>BaFe<SB>16</SB>O<SB>27</SB>with a matrix. In the formula, x is 0.6≤x≤1.2. Thereby, radio wave absorbing characteristics of at least 10 dB or more can be materialized at least in a frequency range of 6-18 GHz. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
