PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a digital stereoscopic video stream (namely, a video stream generating an image sequence which makes a viewer recognized as a three-dimensional image when appropriate processing is received).SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for generating a digital stereoscopic video stream including a container frame. A container frame includes information on a right image R and a left image L and inputs at least one metadata fitted to identify a region of the container frame including only either one of two images L, R of a right image R and a left image L when coding a digital stereoscopic video stream.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3a
