PURPOSE:To enable smooth picking by calculating the pressure of a picking fluid by fuzzy inference using indefinite weaving conditions determined by human sense in addition to definite ones. CONSTITUTION:In weaving jet loom by an air or water, definite weaving conditions such as weft flying period or the number of revolutions for the loom definitely determined by fabric or loom specifications and indefinite weaving conditions determined by human sense such as liability to weft flying, weft cuttability or the extent of weft fineness variations are inputted into a relevant unit. Based on both kinds of these conditions, the pressure value of a fluid to be fed to a picking nozzle is calculated by fuzzy inference to control fluid pressure via a pressure controller along with controlling the ejection initiation time or ejection period for the fluid by a timing controller.
