PURPOSE:To display the synthesized data obtained by synthesizing both data generated by both of a tomographic image data generating means and a two-di mensional blood flow image data generating means while setting the depth and the scanning direction to arbitrary regions and to accurately display two-di mensional blood flow image data so as to limit the same to an arbitrary region. CONSTITUTION:A transmitter-receiver circuit 2 outputs the echo signal obtained by reflecting an ultrasonic signal from the interior of a living body by a probe 1 and the echo signal becomes tomographic image data in a tomographic data generating circuit 3 and becomes two-dimensional blood flow image data in a blood flow data generating circuit 4. The data from both data generating circuits 3, 4 are synthesized by a digital scanning converter DSC 5 to be displayed on a monitor 6 while the depth and the scanning direction are set to arbitrary regions. The ROI frame generated by an ROI frame generating circuit 7 by an operation panel 8 is inputted to the blood data generating circuit 4, the DSC 5 and a graphic data generating circuit 9 to be displayed on the monitor 6 while the region of the two-dimensional blood flow image data is limited. By this constitution, the blood flow image data of an arbitrary region is accurately displayed. |
