PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP phone connection apparatus for automatically transmitting an emergency notice or a notice attended therewith to a mail address registered in advance to a contact destination other than a police station and a fire fighting station or the like at the same time in the case of making the emergency notice or making a connection to a particular phone destination. SOLUTION: A terminal 2, a phone 3 for subscriber phone, an ADSL line 12, and a subscriber telephone line 13 are connected to an ADSL MODEM 1, which is provided with an electronic mail address registration section 7 and a CPU 5 for controlling the entire. The electronic mail address registration section 7 stores electronic mail addresses and transmission messages being in cross-reference with telephone numbers for emergency notice or telephone numbers set by users. A database of the electronic mail address registration section 7 is searched by a telephone number of the phone 3 for making a call, and when the coincident telephone number exists and connection to the ADSL line 12 is available, a preset message is automatically transmitted to an electronic mail address corresponding to the telephone number.
