PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of reducing an unnecessary setting operation request to a user by discriminating whether which original the user wants to read at an apparatus side as further as possible if an original that is mounted in an original feeder and an original that is mounted on an original platen are present.SOLUTION: When an original read starting instruction is received and originals are detected in an original tray and the original platen, a user discrimination part 602 discriminates whether a user corresponding to image data being held in a stationary original image holding part 608 is identical to an operating user. In accordance with a result of the discrimination by the user discrimination part 602, a processing object selection part 607 inquires the user about whether image data acquired by a feed original reading part 401 or image data acquired by a stationary original reading part 403 is to be subjected to processing, or image data acquired by the feed original reading part 401 is subjected to processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
