PURPOSE:To obtain a carpet tile fixable to floor by its own weight and resistant to deformation and formation of dent with load by compounding a filler to a specific resin component and backing a carpet substrate with the obtained backing material. CONSTITUTION:A carpet tile having excellent shape stability and dimensional stability and resistant to deformation and dent-formation even at high temperature by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. of an amorphous propylene-ethylene random copolymer having an average molecular weight of 1,000 20,000 and an ethylene content of 2-8wt.% with (B) 5-200 pts.wt. of a tackifier (e.g. rosin) and (C) 0-100 pts.wt. of an ethylenic polymer and/or crystalline polypropylene, compounding 100 pts.wt. of the obtained resin component with (D) 10-500 pts.wt. of a filler (e.g. calcium carbonate), heating the obtained backing composition, applying to the back surface of a carpet substrate and cooling the applied composition. |
