PURPOSE:To continuously produce a foamed rubber sheet having a smooth skin layer, having small cells with a uniform size, low in compression permanent strain and suitable for seal packing. CONSTITUTION:An unvulcanized rubber sheet S is supplied to the gap between a heating cylinder 13 and a steel belt 15 while release papers 17,18 are superposed on both upper and rear surfaces of the unvulcanized rubber sheet S and the rubber sheet immediately after the contact with the heating cylinder is vulcanized while it is pressed under the sum total pressure of the belt pressure of 1-5kg/cm<2> due to the tension of the steel belt and the pressure of 2-5kg/cm<2> applied by a pressure bonding roll 16 and subsequently vulcanized only under the belt pressure. |
