PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fishing hook contriving to reduce the weight of the hook, contriving to smoothly insert a bite into the hook and thrust the hook into a fish body and enhancing the long-lasting release of a bite extract. SOLUTION: This hollow hook for fishing is provided with a shaft-like portion (shank) 2 and a curved hook portion (bend) 3. The hook portion 3 comprises a hollow pipe, and the tip portion of the hook portion 3 is obliquely cut to form a sharp edge 3a. A barb 4 formed by cutting up the wall of the pipe and small holes 5 for releasing a bite extract stored in the hollow pipe into water are disposed in the wall of the hook portion 3.
