PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of retrieval processing. SOLUTION: Each entry of a storage part comprises entry data composed of 72-bit retrieval object data inputted to the retrieval device through a maintenance port and registered by an error detection processing part and an 8-bit ECC (redundancy bit) added to the retrieval object data by the error detection processing part, and an 1-bit empty bit showing whether or not entry data effective for entry are registered. The error detection processing part reads the entry data and executes the error detection and correction processing of the retrieval object data of the entry data based on the redundancy bit of the entry data.
