<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus capable of carrying out a high rate modulation such as 16 QAM modulation without the need for notifying a modulation system at a modulation circuit side by reducing the cost associated with revision of the modulation circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A modulation control section 1 uses a modulation system control signal and a modulation circuit designation signal to control the modulation system, and a data output section 2 outputs input data D0 to D3. A conversion section 3 distributes the input data D0 to D3 into the data D0, D1, and the data D2, D3, and applies conversion processing to match a desired signal point with an expected signal point of the modulation circuit. An amplitude control section 4 sets amplitude information according to the modulation system control signal and the modulation circuit designation signal, and a code control section 5 assigns a spread code according to the modulation system control signal and the modulation circuit designation signal. Switching sections (A, B) 6, 7 switch the input data according to the modulation system control signal and the modulation circuit designation signal, and the modulation circuits (A, B) 8, 9 carry out QPSK modulation on the basis of the amplitude information and the spread code. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
