PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium support unit including a pressing part which can press a medium supported by a support part, and suppressing floating of the medium.SOLUTION: A medium support unit 2 is provided with: a support part 4 including a first surface 8 for supporting a medium M, a second surface 13a recessed than the first surface 8, a first side surface 16 which is positioned between the first surface 8 and the second surface 13a as a side surface for connecting the first surface 8 and the second surface 13a; and a pressing part 10 including a pressing surface 11a for pressing the medium M supported by the first surface 8 in a position opposite to the second surface 13a, and an opposite side surface 11b facing to the first side surface 16. In a holding state where the medium M is supported by the first surface 8 and is pressed by the pressing surface 13a, the support part 4 and the pressing part 10 can hold the medium in a state that a part of the medium M positioned between the first side surface 16 and the opposite side surface 11b is separated from the second surface 13a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
