An apparatus for producing a sapphire ingot according to the present invention comprises: an outer chamber which has a receiving space formed on the inside thereof; a crucible which is provided in the receiving space and in which a sapphire ingot is grown from sapphire-ingot raw material; a heating unit which is provided in the receiving space and which applies heat to the crucible; and a crucible-driving unit which is provided at the lower section of the outer chamber and which includes a first driving module which is connected to the crucible to thus move the crucible up and down within the receiving space, wherein the first driving module moves the crucible such that the height of a solid-liquid interface according to growth of the sapphire-ingot raw material received in the crucible is maintained at a predetermined reference height.
