The front jaw is for a safety ski-binding having a holder for the boot sole swinging out against spring action and supporting it to the front, sides and top. Two supporting members(19), fixed to the ski or baseplate and symmetrically-situated in relation to the lengthwise axis of ski and front jaw, are provided for the pedal(15), and are spaced apart for a distance corresponding to the amount of elastic movement. The pedal is of flat W-shape, with its lower ridges flattened and bearing against the members in the normal position. ADVANTAGE - Greater reliability, the resistance to release being virtually unaffected by friction generated by the ball of the foot. |
