PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition useful especially as a turbine oil of gas turbine starting at a low temperature by mixing specific diester, polyol ester and alpha-olefinic polymer and using the mixture as a base oil. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by mixing (A) a synthetic oil having a viscosity of 2-5mm<2>/S and composed of (i) a diester derived from a 4-13C alcohol and a 4-18C aliphatic dibasic acid and/or (ii) a polyol ester derived from a 2-8C polyhydric alcohol and a 4-14C fatty acid and (B) a synthetic oil having a viscosity of 2-10mm<2>/S at 100 deg.C and composed of one or more kinds of synthetic hydrocarbons produced by polymerizing 4-12C alpha-olefins at a ratio (A:B) of (50-95):(50-5), preferably (70-90):(30-10), and using the mixed oil having a viscosity of preferably >=2.0mm<2>/S (especially >=2.5mm<2>/S) at 100 deg.C and a pour point of preferably <=-30 deg.C (especially <=-35 deg.C) as the base oil. |
