MEDICINAL USE OF CROMOGLYCIC ACID COMPOUNDS

Cromoglycic acid compounds represented by general formula (I) which are advantageously usable in treating rheumatism, since they have antirheumatic, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects and are efficacious in controlling chronic rheumatoid arthritis symptoms while producing little side effects. Because of having antiallergic I and antiallergic IV activities, these compounds are advantageously usable in treating allergic dermatitides in which type IV allergic reaction participates, for example, contact dermatitis in which type IV allergic reaction participates mainly and atopic dermatitis in which both type I and type IV allergic reactions participate.
