PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly feed even a curled sheet of papers without complicating its configuration. SOLUTION: A curled sheet of papers P is pressed at its upper surface side by the paper contacting surface of a rib part 3, and brought upward by a bottom plate 22. When a paper P at the uppermost position comes up to the piled-up upper limit position, it is pressed by the paper contacting surface 31a and the bottom plate 22 so as to allow curling to be suppressed in such a way as to be brought into a shape roughly close to a horizontal condition with respect to the bottom plate 22, so that the tip end Pa of the paper P is brought to a specified nip N position formed between a feeding roller 21 and a separation pad 25. In this case, the tip end Pa of the paper P is surely directed to the nip N so as to allow excellent separation and carrying to be performed by letting the paper feeding roller 21 be drivingly rotated.
