The present invention relates to an arrangement in an air conditioning system (1) intended for motor vehicles, especially passenger cars. The air conditioning system (1) comprises a compressor (5), a condenser (2), and an evaporator (3), which are connected by way of transfer elements (6, 7, 8, 9) in a closed circuit for the transfer of refrigerant. The condenser (2) and the evaporator (3) are arranged on the chassis of the vehicle. The invention is characterised in that the compressor (5) is mounted on the chassis of the vehicle.
