PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold suitable for placing raw material fibers in the mold, pressing the placed raw material fibers with flat press plates from the upper and lower directions, applying a high frequency voltage between the flat press plates to dielectrically heat the compressed raw material fibers themselves in the mold, and thus thermally compression-molding the raw material fibers. SOLUTION: This mold has a porous carrier 3 on whose plate surface many penetrated holes are formed, and many elastomer pads 4 which are formed from an insulating material and are geometrically disposed and fixed to the raw material fiber-placed side plate surface of the porous carrier. A member or portion which is formed from a conductive material and projected from the plate surface does not exist on the raw material fiber-placed side plate surface of the porous carrier. The porous carrier 3 comprises a col tray 1 and a screen mesh 2, and the assembly of the col tray 1 with the screen mesh 2 is formed by loosely fitting a shoulder bolt 12 fixed to the col tray 1 into a notched hole 11 formed in the screen mesh 2.
