APPARATUS FOR MEASURING TURBIDITY OF WATER USING LASER DIODE AS A LIGHT SOURCE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for measuring turbidity of water is provided to measure turbidity of sample water with a high precision by using a laser diode as light source. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring turbidity of water includes a laser diode for irradiating light to sample water. A light emitting unit(14) includes a photo diode receiving light and feedbacking the light to a turbidity measurement/radiation controlling unit(18). A collimator lens(15) is located at a front of the radiation unit in order to convert the light irradiated to the sample water to a parallel light. A sample cell(16) is located at a front of the collimator lens(15) in order to store the sample water. A light receiving unit(17) receives light dispersed by particles in the sample water in the sample cell(16) and is vertically installed.
