PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of effectively preventing the diffusion of excrement. SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 10, the entire main surface on the absorbent side of a diffusion preventing sheet 1 for storing the excrement is not bonded and a space R2 is formed with an upper layer sheet 11. Thus, a lot of excrement is stored in the space R2. Thus, the diffusion in a wide range of the excrement can be effectively prevented. As a result, an area where the excrement comes into contact with the skin of a wearer is reduced, the rash of the skin and an unpleasant feeling are prevented, and the work of wiping off the excrement stuck to the skin can be reduced as well.
