PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray device with a rotary positive electrode type X-ray tube suppressing enlargement of an effective focus. SOLUTION: This device includes a rotary positive electrode type X-ray tube having an X-ray radiation surface 22 radiating fine-focusing X-rays to photograph a subject, a rotor 25 with the X-ray radiation surface coupled thereto, a stator 31 fit into the rotor and having a liquid metal lubricant supplied sliding bearing formed between it and the rotor and a vacuum envelope 41 containing the X-ray radiation surface, the rotor and the stator, a coil 46 generating a rotating magnetic field exerting rotating force to the rotor, and a controller stopping generation of the rotating magnetic field by the coil to radiate X-rays from the X-ray radiation surface during inertial rotation of the rotor.
