<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oligonucleotide assembly for detecting/identifying any unknown or known virus of an individual taxon and a method for designing an oligonucleotide. <P>SOLUTION: The oligonucleotide assembly includes a motif preserved in the family, genus or species of virus and detects a vertebrate virus reversely translated from a different amino acid sequence. The method for designing an oligonucleotide for a virus screening comprises a process for editing a virus sequence database, a process for classifying each nucleotide and amino acid sequence into the orders, families etc. of virus, a process for identifying an amino acid sequence including a motif etc. from the database, a process for identifying the subset of a motif preserved in the family, genus etc. of virus from the amino acid sequence assembly, a process for determining a nucleotide sequence encoding the subset, and a process for designing an oligonucleotide group from the nucleotide sequence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
