The invention provides a roller carrying type coater capable of improving production efficiency of a panel piece after coating; the coater comprises the following elements: a backing roller (4) supporting a substrate (2) from a lower direction; a coating material discharge die (6) facing the substrate supported by the backing roller so as to discharge the coating material; an upstream carrying roller (3a) and a downstream carrying roller (3b), and the rollers are arranged in parallel on the upstream and the downstream of the backing roller so as to carry the substrate in a regulated direction; a suction mechanism (8) used for generating air flow (E) facing downwards through suction holes arranged in a whole scope from the upstream side to the lower stream side of the backing roller; a front end clamp moving part (16) clamped with a front end portion of the substrate carried to a position crossing the backing roller, the front end clamp moving part and the substrate cover the suction holes and move in synchronization; a rear end clamping moving part (17) clamped with a rear end portion of the substrate on the suction holes, the rear end clamp moving part and the substrate cover the suction holes and move in synchronization. |
