PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting roll which suppresses barrel shaped deformation of the casting roll and is used for manufacturing a flat metal plate.SOLUTION: A casting roll 10 is the casting roll made of iron type alloy used for continuous casting of a nonferrous metal plate, at least constitutes a roll outer circumferential side and has a cylindrical roll main body 20 or a columnar roll main body having a diameter of 100 mm or more configured by forming a plurality of coolant passages 24 through which the coolant flows in the roll longitudinal direction in a circumferential direction on the neighborhood of an outer circumferential surface 26. In the roll main body, a distance d from the outer circumferential surface to the coolant passage is 3 mm≤d<20 mm and an interval c between coolant passages adjacent to each other is 5 mm≤c≤20 mm and, when the roll main body is cylindrical, a distance a from an inner circumferential surface 28 of the roll main body to the coolant passage is 10 mm or more and is two times of the distance d from the outer circumferential surface to the coolant passage or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
