For controlled withdrawal of a free-falling liq. stream from the inside of a closed vessel. the glass vessel (3) contains a distn. bell (5) with an outflow orifice (7) beneath which is a horizontal connecting pipe (9) leading to a discharge pipe (13). Between the pipes is a ball valve (17). A pivot arm (21) has an inlet opening (23) and passes through the connecting pipe. The pivot arm can form the withdrawal pipe itself. ADVANTAGE - Compact pivot arm joint ensures protection from aggressive media.
