The spherical radiator (1) comprises a closed thin-walled sphere containing at least 2 piezoelectric transducer discs, lying parallel to one another and electrically coupled together in phase opposition. The outer surfaces of the transducer discs are each perpendicularly secured to the inside wall of the sphere via mechanical fixings (15, 16). Pref. the sphere (1) has a similar size to a table tennis ball. The piezoelectric transducer discs generating ultrasonic sound signals. ADVANTAGE - Improves tone of hi-fi loudspeaker box.
