PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of the port part and blood bag set of a white cell-removing filter to be interposed between a blood taking bag and a blood bag for component sepn. by forming a housing used for this filter of soft plastic. SOLUTION: The housing 1 for the white cell-removing filter has respectively one piece of port 2 or 2' in its body and cap and is provided with 50 to 100 pieces of grater-like projections on the inside surface of the body or cap for preventing slip of a filter material such as non-woven fabric. The materials having a small modulus of elasticity and softness, more specifically ethylenevinyl acetate copolymers, soft polyethylene, polybutene, polyvinyl chloride added with polasticizers which themselves are soft resins are selected as the material for a housing 1. As a result, the entire part of the housing 1 is made of the flexible materials and, therefore, even if the blood bag set is loaded into the bucket of a centrifugal separator and is subjected to centrifugal sepn., the port parts 2, 2' do not break and do not separate from the main body of the filter. |
