<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic having paraelectricity, and whose dielectric constant is ≥150 and dielectric loss at 100°C in a measurement frequency of 100 Hz is ≤1%, and to provide an electronic component using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic comprises, as metal elements, only Ba or a combination of Ba and Sr or a combination of Ba, Sr and Ca, and Ti, Nb and Y, and further, provided that the compositional formula by molar ratio is expressed by (Sr<SB>1-u-v</SB>Ba<SB>u</SB>Ca<SB>v</SB>)(Ti<SB>1-x-y</SB>Nb<SB>x</SB>Y<SB>y</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, the ranges of 0.3≤u≤1, 0≤v≤0.3, u+v≤1, 0.05≤x≤0.2 and 0.05≤y≤0.2 are satisfied, thus the dielectric ceramic having paraelectricity, and further, whose dielectric constant at room temperature is ≥150 and dielectric loss at 100°C in a measurement frequency of 100 Hz is ≤1% can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
