From a human antibody phage library, a clone BM095, which shows a potent proliferation inhibitory activity in an IL-31-dependent Ba/F3 cell prolifera tion assay system, is obtained. When administered to an atopic dermatitis mo del animal with the use of an Nc/Nga mouse, a model mouse of chronic dermati tis induced by the repeated application of picryl chloride, a rheumatoid art hritis model mouse and an arthritis deformans model mouse, this antimouse NR 10 neutralizing antibody shows a remarkable effect of inhibiting the symptom s. Thus, it is clarified that this anti-NR10 neutralizing antibody is useful in practice as a remedy for inflammatory diseases. Moreover, antihuman NR10 neutralizing antibody is successfully acquired and thus a highly useful rem edy which is clinically applicable in practice is provided.
