<p>A video displayer having a screen divisional search function and its control method are provided to allow a user to search a desired scene quickly without excessively increasing an access time, thereby solving a problem that a screen image is cut off in the process of reproducing at multiple velocity. A screen divisional search function is selected through a menu in a video displayer(S701). A basic set value required for the screen divisional search function is adjusted(S702). It is checked whether adjustment of the basic set value has been completed(S703). If the adjustment has been completed, the screen of the video displayer is divided to output particular video data(S704). It is checked whether an image desired to be searched is found among the divided screen images or whether the basic set value needs to be re-adjusted(S705). If so, the number of the divided screen image displayed on a certain region of the divided screen is selected(S706). It is checked whether a basic set value is to be re-adjusted(S707). If the basic set value is not re-adjusted, it is checked whether the screen divisional search function is to be terminated(S709). If the screen divisional search function is to be terminated, the selected divided screen image is changed into the full screen size(S710). A current position of the image and the search result are displayed(S711). The video displayer is changed to a general search function with respect to particular video data and detailed searching is performed(S712).</p> |
