<p>An optical transmitter comprising a doped fiber for amplifying an optical signal with a wave length μd, a wavelength multiplexer which supplies pumping light to the doped fiber, a wavelength multiplexer which multiplexes the amplified optical signal and a monitoring optical signal and supplies them to a downstream-side optical fiber, a pumping and monitoring light source, a photocoupler for distributing the light from the light source to the wavelength multiplexers with the ratio of N:1 and a driver to which the monitoring information and a DC signal are supplied and which controls the light source. An optical cross connection device which controls switches in accordance with the monitoring information is also disclosed.</p> |
