PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing chemically tempered glass stably, which can be cut. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the chemically tempered glass having a compressive stress layer in a glass surface layer, formed by ion exchange by a dipping method, a second dipping treatment for dipping the glass in a dipping liquid of a temperature higher by 20-50°C than the temperature of the dipping liquid used in the first step for 10-60 min is applied after a first dipping treatment. The chemically tempered glass manufactured by the method has a characteristic of soda-lime glass of which the surface hardness is 560-590 kgf/cm<SP>2</SP>and the strain point is 470-530°C.
