PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installing a roof portion outer hood in a vehicular body center part. SOLUTION: The hood device for a rolling stock divides the rood portion outer hood 9 connecting rood edge portions of end surfaces 5, 6 of the coupled rolling stocks 1, 2 into a vehicular body center roof hood portion 20 and vehicular body side portion roof hood portions 21, 21, and the vehicular body center roof hood portion 21 is composed of two roof hood portion half elements 22, 22. Each rood portion half element 22 is provided on inner hood half elements 16, 16 of an inner hood 4 installed in each rolling stock 1, 2 and covering the outer periphery of a passage 3 between the rolling stocks 1, 2.
